If you have clients suffering from tired and stressed muscles, consider raindrop therapy. This technique can also help with relief from back and neck pain and help clients to relax and feel less stressed.
Raindrop therapy uses essential oils and aromatherapy to help clients relax and destress. Aromatherapy uses plant oils as a complement to massage therapy. This helps clients by treating the whole body and helping the body to regulate, balance and maintain itself. The use of essential oils can bring the body back to a state of natural balance without the use of chemical-based products which can have potentially harmful side effects.
Raindrop therapy involves the topical application of therapeutic essential oils. This technique brings balance to the body while stimulating all of the body systems on a physical and emotional level. The oils are gently applied/dropped like raindrops along the client’s spine and back. The oils can also be applied to the soles of the feet and to the neck and shoulders. The oil drops are then gently massaged into the skin.
Raindrop therapy has numerous benefits. This technique not only reduces pain and discomfort (including chronic pain), but can also relieve stress and help to improve a client’s overall mood and well-being. Muscle relaxation and reduced inflammation are additional benefits of raindrop therapy. This therapy has also been shown to help improve the body’s circulation. This aids the body in detoxing from harmful viruses and bacteria and improves overall body function and boosts the immune system.
Essential oils that are commonly used in raindrop therapy include basil, wintergreen, marjoram, cypress, thyme and peppermint.
We are holding a Raindrop Therapy class on May 15th from 9:30am-4:30pm. Raindrop therapy is wonderfully soothing, nurturing and relaxing. You will receive knowledge of all of the oils involved, observe a demonstration of the technique, and also give and receive a treatment. This is an extremely pampering modality to add to your massage tool box. Come out, have fun, be energized and help your clients with the many benefits of these healing oils!
For more information on the materials that will be needed for this class, or to register, please contact us by April 29th.
