reikiReiki is a holistic healing art for stress reduction, relaxation and spiritual growth. It is a method of amplifying our inner healing light, known as Ki. Healthy Ki nourishes our physical body, and helps to balance our mental and emotional energy.

With the rapid acceptance of Reiki energy by healers around the world, we find that the strength of the energy is increasing exponentially as more people are attuned, or receiving Reiki treatments and Reiki training. As the strength of the Reiki increases, the power of the attunement to clear and fortify our subtle bodies is intensified as well.

The word Reiki is composed of two Japanese words – Rei and Ki. From a spiritual context, Rei can be defined as the Higher Intelligence that guides the creation and functioning of the universe. Rei is a subtle wisdom that permeates everything, and guides the evolution of all creation. Rei is available to help us in times of need and to act as a source of guidance in our lives.

Ki is the non-physical energy that flows in everything that is alive including plants, animals and humans. When a person’s Ki is high, they will feel strong, confident, and ready to enjoy. When it is low, they will feel weak and are more likely to get sick. We receive Ki from the air we breathe, from food, sunshine, and from sleep. It is also possible to increase our Ki by using breathing exercises and meditation.

Reiki can best be defined as spiritually guided healing life force energy. Reiki energy seems to have an intelligence of its own flowing where it is needed in the client and creates the healing conditions necessary for the client’s needs.

Ki animates the physical organs and tissues as it flows through them and therefore is responsible for creating a healthy condition. If the flow of Ki is disrupted, the physical organs and tissues will be negatively affected. A disruption in the flow of Ki may cause illness.

Ki will flow more strongly or be weakened in its action depending on the quality of a person’s thoughts and feelings. It is our negative thoughts and feelings that are the main cause of restriction in the flow of Ki. Negative thoughts or feelings disrupt the flow of Ki. Even Western medicine recognizes the role played by the mind in creating illness.

As Reiki flows through a sick or unhealthy area, it breaks up and washes away any negative thoughts or feelings lodged in the unconscious mind/body thus allowing a normal healthy flow of Ki to resume. As this happens, the unhealthy physical organs and tissues become properly nourished with Ki and begin functioning in a balanced healthy way.

Reiki is becoming more and more popular. We offer informative Reiki classes that will cover color therapy, crystal therapy, chakras and energy fields as well as the history of Reiki and Reiki attunement.
