All applicants must provide the Academy of Massage Therapy and Bodyworks with a high school diploma or GED, a current photo ID, and a letter of recommendation from an employer, previous teacher or instructor, or another individual not related to them.
Full Time Students
Full-time students will attend Monday through Thursday. We offer morning and evening classes, or a combination of both, to accommodate today's busy students with flexible educational opportunities. One required weekend seminar will be held during the six-month course. Morning classes begin at 8:30 am and end at 1:30 pm, with a half-hour lunch and breaks at the instructor's discretion. Evening classes start at 5:30 pm and end at 10:30 pm, with a half-hour dinner and breaks at the instructor's discretion. Weekend seminars begin at 9:00 am and end at approximately 4:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch and intermittent breaks on both Saturday and Sunday.
Part Time Students
Part-time students may opt to complete the program over the course of one year. You will attend school twice a week, either in the morning or evening, with the same hours as listed above.
Course Waivers
During the admissions process, it may be determined if a student can test out of the Anatomy and Physiology portion of the program. Eligible students must have 300 hours of Anatomy & Physiology and obtain a test score of 80% to waive this course. Tuition will be adjusted accordingly if a student tests out of this portion of the course. If you are requesting a course waiver for Anatomy and Physiology, transcripts will be required.
