Introduction to Cupping
Cupping is an ancient form of alternative medicine. It dates back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures and may have been used first as early as 1,550 B.C.
During Cupping, a massage therapist puts special cups on the client’s skin for several minutes to create suction. Cupping can be used to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being. It can also be used as a type of deep tissue massage.
