Nurturing the Mother: Pregnancy Massage

We are excited to announce our upcoming 3-day class, Nurturing the Mother: Pregnancy Massage. This workshop is a must for massage therapists, childbirth educators, midwives, and labor and delivery nurses. This class will help individuals to better understand fertility, birth and massage, and how to safely and properly provide massage to pregnant clients, newborns and infants.

In this class you will learn anatomy and physiology for pregnancy and birth, the pregnancy massage sequence, as well as cautions and contraindications for pregnancy massage. You will also learn the proper guidelines for pregnancy massage for each trimester, massage cautions and variations for high-risk pregnancies, and labor massage and labor support techniques,

We will also provide a newborn and infant massage demonstration and teach the proper techniques for postpartum massage, with the principle of “mother roasting” – the application of heat, along with specific bodywork techniques for the recovery and realignment of the mother. We will also provide attendees with the proper skills to market your new services to the public.

This class is scheduled for Friday-Sunday, March 29-31, 2019. 24 CE hours will be available upon successful completion of the course. The hours are 9am-6pm daily. The cost for this class is $475 and a $25 discount will be applied if registered and paid in full by February 28, 2019. Please call us at 610-705-4401 to register.
