Stretching has arrived and the alternative healing world and its clients are embracing it with a new understanding of overall wellbeing. Active Isolated Stretching is taking a front seat in this movement with a long history with its clinical benefits and outstanding results thanks to the efforts of Aaron Mates, Founder of AIS.

This two-day workshop (16 CEs) will take you on a journey of functional movement while we breathe new life into muscles and joints with precision and accuracy.

This will be accomplished by learning the principles of AIS as you become more proficient in feeling the end field of a muscle and or joint restrictions of your clients.

Principles:

  • –  Hold stretches for 2-3 seconds
  • –  The client is active (reciprocal inhibition)
  • –  Between each stretch, the muscle will go back to a neutral positionYour client will develop greater trust in your skill which will magnify the results of this amazing process and bring them to a new level of wellbeing.

Dust off those anatomy books and bring your “A” game while we jump into this challenging fun packed day of AIS.

    Supplies
(sheets and oil will not be needed)

  • –  Massage Table
  • –  Table wipes or spray
  • –  Be prepared to take notes
  • –  Manuals will be emailed
  • –  If you have a stretching stabilization belt please bring it or a limited number of belts will beavailable.

If you would like to purchase a belt before class, please contact us with three weeks of lead time to purchase a belt.  Payments will be made directly to the instructor at the time of class.

      Hi Karen,

Not sure what you mean in group setting? Like a sports event? Thank you for the clarification; Iʻll be able to answer more effectively.

    Hi!

I hate to be a pest. Am still wondering if this technique can be applied to group stretching classes. I live in Tennessee and may be changing employers so I am trying to plan my travel needs well in advance.

    Thank you!
