This technique works well for your regular clients and for athletes.  \nPin and release or better known as Pin and Stretch or ART (chiropractors)\, is a movement-based muscle lengthening technique that is highly effective in treating problems with:  \n\nmuscle and tendons \nligaments and fascia \n\nPinning the muscle with sliding force:  \n\nincreases movement of the tissue \nbreaks up and removes adhesions \n\nPin and release is highly effective for:  \n\noverused muscles \nrepetitive use injuries (especially with athletes) \nscar tissue \n\nBy applying focused pressure while the client performs specific motions to lengthen the tissue in these targeted areas\, underlying tissue can be released. Learn hands-on with NCBTMB approved provider\, Jim Earley. Add it to your toolbox for your massage practice as you will be proficient in: \n\n The basic techniques of Cupping and how to apply them to your clients\n The benefits and contraindications of Cupping\n Learn the different types of Cupping: sliding and static\n Incorporating massage with Cupping\n Pre/Post-event cupping for athletes\n Post Cupping guidelines\n\nThe class will be taught from a massage therapist’s perspective. Therapists will have the skills to be able to start cupping their clients right away. Each therapist receives a 12 piece cupping set. \nParking is limited to three hours in front of AMTB; students should refrain from parking in front of AMTB and other High Street businesses.  There is a paid parking lot located on Hanover Street (across from Sherwin Williams).  Students can pay for parking using the kiosk or the Park Mobile App.  We recommend that students download the parking app and add their license plate and credit card information prior to coming to class.
